VELOX has defined the key terms for you:


Face concrete boards, which are made of wood-concrete, are used for exterior- and interior walls as well as for load-bearing walls self-supporting walls

- Exterior walls:
Face concrete boards, which are made of wood-concrete, with integrated thermal insulation or in combination with composite heat insulation systems (=EIFS).

- Interior walls:
Face concrete boards, which are made of wood-concrete (with higher density) and an massive concrete core, enable optimum noise insulation in partition walls for flats, staircase- and partition walls for row houses (also without wall lining).

- Fire walls:
Face concrete boards, which are made of wood-concrete, are ideal because of their high level of fire resistance as well as their excellent fire resistance.


- Face concrete boards, made of wood-concrete:

Face concrete boards are put together with the clips. They provide the formwork for the face concrete system with continuous concrete core.

standard format of the boards: 50/200 cm

Clips are available in all desired concrete core thicknesses and wall thicknesses.

- The floor-high wall modules, made of wood-concrete:
The floor-high, prefabricated wall modules are based on the development of the proven wall systems. Here are industrially prefabricated elements that are immediately ready for use with consistently high-quality execution. Prefabricated wall modules provide a resource saving use-planning and flexibility in the design and processing with fast building progress.

- formwork elements
Formwork elements for columns and lintels are made to measure and replace the otherwise complicated shuttering work.

ceiling and wall rosettes:
Formwork is constructed by a plug-in system. The set consists of wood insulation chip boards and mounting clips. Insulation chip boards are the system functions as casing,
insulation and lathing at the same time.

rust formation in in-situ concrete walls:
The ceiling-shuttering-board is insert into the in-situ concrete shuttering and replacing the rust formwork–  no implementation of the casing is needed afterwards.

Attica and parapet walls can also be made as prefabricated wall modules.


VELOX- raised bed
The massive plant-raised bed consisting of 50 mm thick insulation-chip boards is a true asset to any garden: durable, weather resistant, maintenance-free, back- and joint friendly and easy to assemble.

Insulation-chip boards are used in the indoor- and outdoor-area to improve the sound insulation and to increase the effective mass.


- Thermal insulation and storage, vapor diffusion
The base material wood is known for high thermal insulation and healthy living comfort. This is an advantage of wood-concrete as massive building material. In connection with a core of heat-storing concrete are all requirements of building physics met. Disturbing thermal bridges are avoided through working without mortar.

Integrated or subsequently applied insulation systems turn the concrete core during winter into an active heat storage. Another advantage is the effective protection against overheating in summer. This keeps room temperature on a consistent and comfortable level throughout every season of the year.

As another result the inner surfaces of the exterior walls reach correspondingly high temperatures, so that surface-condensation is excluded. The diffusion-open wood-concrete boards act as climate membrane and provide a balanced and comfortable climate.

- noise absorption:
Walls, which consist of face concrete boards, can protect people from noise.

Noise makes you sick! Every day we are exposed to noise. That can lead to stress, anxiety and disease.

Walls, made of face-concrete boards, lead to high protection. This is due to their excellent insulation properties, derived from the weight of the concrete core as well as the elastic insulating layers of wood-concrete with high porosity.

Therefore they are used as "highly absorbent" walls in industrial buildings and workshops and form there effective protection against disturbing machine noise.

- Fire protection:
Walls, made of face-concrete boards, provide maximum fire protection.

Walls of wood-concrete ensure reliable fire protection (from a concrete core thickness of 12 cm). They are classified as "high fire-resistant" and according to the fire resistance class "REI 180".

- Earthquake Safety:
Walls, which are built with wood-concrete boards, provide high safety in case of an earthquake.

In accordance with structural design and static execution, it is possible to establish the massive wood-concrete buildings in earthquake zones.
Many earthquakes in the past have shown that buildings in the wood-concrete construction, withstand strong earthquakes without any significant damage.
Wood-concrete walls have a special capacity of earthquake resistance due to the combination of high ductility (strength), internal damping and they withstand the mainly horizontal loads in the load case of an earthquake.

- Sustainability:
Walls, made of wood-concrete boards, are sustainable.

Through the use of wood-concrete more CO2 will be saved than through the production is released. This reduction of CO2 pollution makes a very valuable contribution towards achieving the Kyoto targets.
The environmental protection has particular importance in the production of wood-concrete. Moreover, the resulting waste from the processing on the construction site is recycled through the supplier. Therewith a vital contribution to relieve waste disposal sites is made.
From buildings, which are made in wood-concrete construction, the waste materials are 100% recyclable.

- Sustainability/ massive construction:
Walls, made of face-concrete boards, are durable.

Increasingly important aspects for the choice of construction material are environmental indicators, their lifetime and stability of value as well as heat insulation and noise protection.

Wood-concrete combines all the advantages in itself.

Massive building materials are made from natural raw materials. Therefor they are awarded by an outstanding life-cycle assessment. Wood-concrete serves to maintain the ecological balance and a healthy environment as a basis for healthy life and living.

If the decision on the way to realizing the dream of owning a home benefits the use of massive building materials, it will be the right choice - because massive objects are built over many generations of lasting value due to their robust construction and they are proven durable.

Due to the solid construction method massive buildings sustainable houses for the eternity are created. Massive houses convince because of their long life span as well as the long-term use, because the massive construction is oriented on long-term building concepts. Therefore massive objects provide a valuable investment in a sustainable future: they assure a livable future with high living standards for the next generations.

Solid building materials convince not only in terms of their sustainability, they also bring the highest comfort with energy and cost in line. They offer reliable protection against noise, burglaries, weather conditions (floods, storms, fires ...) and they also create an optimal climate with protection from overheating in summer.

But solid constructions mean at the same time affordable accommodations for everyone. The running costs for the solid houses are kept on a low price level, because of the high potential savings in energy-, maintenance- and repair costs.
